The chamber has been moving forward and in the past two months has undertaken a number of events including the Meet your Candidates at the Mill Cafe, A meeting to look at the Wingecarribee Shire Council's Draft Rural Tourism Policy at Mittagong RSL. The information from this meeting was used to assist in the drafting of the combined chambers submission on this policy, two 6 Degrees of Separation Networking Events at Gibraltar Hotel Bowral. The last event had in excess of 40 people in attendance and 5 new businesses what a great event. We now looking to put together a program for the remainder of 2019.
Deb Blackah our Finance Director has advised the board that our finances are in good shape and we are looking at spending some of this money on upgrades to our web site and administrative support to assist with offering more extensive membership support and services.
Peter Blain has advised that our membership has grown and this is an indicator that we are doing the things that businesses expect of their chamber.
Shane Hinton and Peter Compton are our Membership Relations Directors and they are continually visiting members and other businesses in the region to ensure that we are on top of the business issues in the area.
The next step for the chamber is to look at how we offer more extensive membership services.
